Dr. Miller was born in Lapeer, Michigan and graduated from Lapeer West High School. She first became interested in optometry while in high school as she worked for a local optometrist. She attended Central Michigan University for her undergraduate studies, where she first met Dr.s Anderson, Batchelder and Prince. She later went on to the Michigan College of Optometry where she finished her Bachelor of Science in Vision Science degree and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2001. After graduating from optometry school, Dr. Miller served in the United States Air Force as an optometrist. She spent three years practicing on active duty as a Captain at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico. After separating from the military, Dr. Miller purchased Dr. Anderson’s interest in the practice when he retired in 2004. After practicing for several years as a partner with Dr. Batchelder and Dr. Prince, she went on to purchase their practices in 2015 to become the sole owner when they both retired. Dr. Miller’s interests include: biking, volleyball, running, swimming, ping pong, golf and family time. She and her husband, Ross, have two daughters, Rachel and Sarah, and live in Shepherd.
