Dr. Traxler grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Rockford High School. While attending Ferris State University, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Vision Science. He later earned his Doctor of Optometry in 2018, graduating with distinction from the Michigan College of Optometry. His clinical experiences include the Battle Creek Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, the Henry Ford OptimEyes system in West Bloomfield, Michigan, and the Duane Waters Hospital in Jackson, Michigan. Following graduation, Dr. Traxler completed an optometric residency in Ocular Disease at the Battle Creek Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. After the completion of his residency, Dr. Traxler joined the EyeSite in the summer of 2019. His clinical interests include the management of many ocular diseases and conditions, and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Traxler’s non-professional interests include disc golfing, mountain biking, and playing music. He and his wife, Kristen, reside in the Mount Pleasant area.
